A little about me
My story in design begins with people believing in me - but let’s back it up first. I moved to Boulder, CO to pursue ministry and be discipled under Pinewood Church. After living here for a bit, I was so inspired by my friend Matthew Slaughter’s life and how he holds ministry and creating some of the most insane projects I’ve ever seen so well. I knew I wanted to learn and become an excellent designer. I enrolled in UI/UX design courses and sat under some of the best designers in Boulder. They enabled me to be where I am today and I’m beyond grateful.
A little about my experience
With well over three years of design experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best out there.
No project or client has been off limits. In my pursuit of chasing excellence and always learning, I’ve been a valuable asset across all mediums. My journey began with co-leading a team of 12 creatives and the digital presence of Pinewood Church. During my time in this role, I have produced social media engagement unlike anything before and constantly innovated how and why we did things. Additionally, I’ve worked under Matthew Slaughter and Slaughterhaus Collective bringing deliverables like mobile app wireframes for Wild At Heart Ministries, marketing materials, and researching client flows reducing all problem areas and creating a seamless experience for our client’s business.
Most recently, I guided and made content for Your Story Is Not Done’s social channels. Under my guidance, they have more than doubled their follower count, generated over 73,888 unique visitors, and achieved their goals of throwing successful in person events, app downloads, and participation in their ministry. Additionally, I have built a digital presence from the ground up for a local electric company delivering them a new beautiful website, photography and videography, client intake forms, digital business cards, marketing materials, and content across all social media platforms. Through my efforts, I have increased their business and lead generation dramatically.
Educationally, I am certified in UX/UI design through the University of Denver where I learned the principles of design, made 7 websites and apps, and gained the invaluable knowledge of how to best approach problems and solve them. I believe that I’m always a student! By giving myself challenges, taking Adobe courses, and seeking out the latest trends, changes, and softwares, I’m always striving to be better.
Okay, now let’s get personal
Outside of design, here’s some fun facts!
Born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, but now I’m living it up in Boulder, CO!
As a “Coloradan,” I love being outside. Some of my greatest achievements are soloing Long’s Peak and summiting another 14er in the dead of Winter (I wouldn’t recommend this).
I just got married in May of 2024 to the love of my life!
I love Jesus and serve leading a Young Adult Ministry with some of the best people.
I’m always working at local coffee shops. Give me a cortado anytime!
Music has always been with me. I’ve had some really awesome opportunities to tour the East Coast with a steel drum ensemble, teach music to kids, and you can catch me playing drums at my local church almost every weekend.
